About the Role
Primemax Energy is seeking a Seasonal Weekend Dispatcher to support residential propane delivery operations throughout the heating season. This hybrid role serves as the primary point of contact for weekend delivery coordination, driver support, customer communication, and emergency response activities. The successful candidate will help ensure propane deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in a manner that supports our commitment to exceptional customer service.
Schedule
- Seasonal position from November through April
- Hybrid work environment with a combination of remote and in-office work
- Availability to work Friday through Sunday or Friday through Monday, depending on business needs and seasonal demand.
- Additional hours may be required during severe weather events, periods of high customer demand, or emergency situations
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support residential propane delivery operations during assigned shifts
- Provide dispatch support and real-time communication with drivers
- Monitor deliveries and adjust priorities as operational needs change
- Receive, assess, and coordinate emergency delivery requests
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide delivery updates
- Monitor tank levels, delivery demand, and customer run-out risks
- Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to dispatch and operations teams
- Support company safety standards and operating procedures
- Participate in after-hours on-call coverage as required
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, customer service, or a related field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Preferred
- Experience in propane, fuel delivery, or transportation operations
- Experience with dispatch and routing software such as Vertrax or SmartDrops
- Knowledge of propane delivery operations and winter service requirements
